Qibla Compass is a free mobile application that helps users find the direction of the Kaaba (Qibla) using GPS location and the device compass/orientation sensor. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app may collect, share, and process.
Data We Collect and Use
Location Data
Qibla Compass may request access to your device’s approximate and precise location to calculate the Qibla direction and the distance to the Kaaba.
Location data is used for the core functionality of the app. The app may process your latitude and longitude temporarily to calculate the Qibla direction, show the distance to the Kaaba, and display a general location label such as a city or town name.
The app may send latitude and longitude data to a third-party reverse geocoding service, such as Nominatim / OpenStreetMap, only to determine a general location label. We do not use location data to personally identify users, and we do not sell users’ location data.
Location data is not stored by us and is processed temporarily for app functionality.
Device Sensors
Qibla Compass uses the device compass/orientation sensor to rotate the compass needle and help show the Qibla direction.
Sensor data is used only on the device for app functionality. Sensor data is not stored by us, sold, or used to personally identify users.
Advertising
This app displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob.
Google AdMob may collect and process certain data, such as advertising identifiers, device information, app interactions, and other technical data, in accordance with Google’s own privacy policies.
Third-Party Services
Qibla Compass may use the following third-party services:
Google AdMob — Advertising services Nominatim / OpenStreetMap — Reverse geocoding service used to determine a general city or town label from location coordinates
These third-party services may process data according to their own privacy policies.
Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number.
We do not create user accounts.
We do not store your location history.
We do not sell users’ personal data.
We do not use location data to personally identify users.
Children’s Privacy
This app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Data Deletion
Qibla Compass does not create user accounts and does not store user location history on our servers. Since we do not store user account data or location history, there is no account data to delete.
